Praxis Automation Technology introduces refit solution for Digital Engine Control System

Praxis Automation Technology and MSA-Service have co-designed an optimized refit solution for a digital Engine Control Systems (ECS). By combining resources, knowledge and years of experience the two companies have developed an ideal solution to refit and upgrade the Engine Control System for several Wärtsilä W38 engine types (i.e. 6L38, 8L38, 9L38, 12V38, 18V38).

A monitoring and control system of a diesel engine is subject to vibrations and high temperatures. This causes the product lifecycle of a diesel engine to differ from that of the monitoring and control system. Renewing this system will provide both technical and economic benefits and upgrade the system to the latest operational and safety standards. If so required, the system can also be hooked-up for remote monitoring and mid-life software updates through the Praxis cloud-based shipView network.
