Rawabi Vallianz Offshore Services has contracted Praxis Automation Technology to deliver a complete solution of its Dynamic Positioning System onboard their fleet of Offshore Supply Vessels operating out of Saudi Arabia. The contract includes the retrofit of 14 ships with a Praxis Automation Class 2 Dynamic Positioning (DP) system, including the integration to the ship’s power distribution system and control systems.

“The Praxis DP system is designed to be an accurate, as well as reliable, and cost effective solution for shipyards and ship-owners throughout the world, building on the same Mega Guard hardware & software automation platform as used on our Vessel Management System (VMS).” explains Jerome Lin, Commercial Director at Praxis Automation Far East in Singapore. “When it comes to technical support, our unique remote diagnostic platform allows for troubleshooting of the system from the office, without the need for dispatching a service engineer onboard the vessel. This will increase the uptime of the vessel as well as reduce time and service cost for our customer. With this contract, we again prove to be a world class player for Dynamic Positioning System supplier for the Oil& Gas shipbuilding market.”

Elisa Woodward, Director at Rawabi Vallianz Offshore Services (RVOS): “Cost efficiencies and timely support from our equipment suppliers has always been a key factor in our successful operation in the GCC region. The professional and customer centric DP solution offered by Praxis, integrated with their remote support system, is also in sync with RVOS’s strategy for complete vessel digital connectivity, resulting in higher operational efficiency. We look forward to embarking this new journey in collaboration with Praxis."
